Stephen Hamilton - Guitar
Stephen has been playing guitar since a very early age and enjoys playing many different
styles of music.
He played guitar in the Fife Youth Jazz Orchestra for many years
which allowed him to perform with world class musicians including Joe Temperley and
members of the Lincoln Centre Jazz Orchestra, played violin and guitar with Fife
Young Fiddlers, and has performed in many musicals including the world premier of
Sailor - The Musical Journey. Stephen recently completed his music studies at Edinburgh
Napier University with a First Class Honours degree under the tutorage of renowned
classical guitarist Simon Thacker and is now continuing with a Masters degree at
Nottingham University.
Stephen has often been chosen to represent his high school
and university including performing at the Millennium Dome as part of Fife's Town
Story, playing for the Dalai Lama on his visit to Dunfermline, and most recently
to compose and perform at Edinburgh Napier University's 40th Anniversary concert
and Showcase.
Alongside Nackytoosh Stephen has performed in various other ensembles
including Invermill Ceilidh Band and the Napier Guitar Quartet, and currently performs
with the Four Corners Guitar Quartet and as a soloist.
