Neil Ferry - Drums
Neil was introduced to music through the Violin at age 10. His involvement with the drum-kit, which he began to play at high school, was inevitable due to the influence of his mentor-Grandfather and his four Uncles, all of whom play drums.
Neil draws on a wide range of influences including Rock, Hip-Hop, Funk, Classical and Jazz – influences drawn from his previous involvements with a string quartet, drumming in a punk-rock band and also playing kit in a variety of jazz ensembles.
Neil studied drum-kit with Gene Calderazo at Birmingham Conservatoire, and applies the rhythms & grooves learnt there to great effect!
